MyTravelPoint.A travel agency website built to be explored.
MyTravelPoint is a luxury travel advisory in Winnipeg run by Daniel Plotnik, Digital8’s founder. Working on our own agency’s website means we live with the results: every enquiry it brings and every question it fails to answer.

01 / THE BRIEF
Answer the questions
travellers ask before they enquire.
The previous site was built on a template platform. The agency wanted a website it fully controlled, with room to present destinations, cruise lines and itineraries in depth, and clear routes from curiosity to a conversation.
Running the agency shaped the brief. Travellers rarely enquire on a first visit. They want to see which ships exist, what a journey could look like, how planning fees work and who they would be talking to. The site had to carry that conversation before the first email.
02 / THE WORK
Depth to explore,
one clear next step.
- A destination atlas of 47 destinations and six cruise routes, with an interactive globe: selectable countries, drawn routes, search and a filter by region.
- A cruise collection covering 42 cruise lines, with filters by type of travel and a comparison of up to three lines side by side.
- Sample journeys with day-by-day previews, so a visitor can see the thinking behind a tailor-made trip.
- Favourites saved in the browser and a downloadable summary of the ideas a visitor has gathered.
- An enquiry form pre-filled with the cruise lines or destinations the visitor selected, plus online scheduling for a complimentary consultation.
- Pages that explain planning fees, Virtuoso benefits, group travel and the advisor’s approach, in English with Spanish-speaking advisory available.
Under the surface, the site is a custom static build: 111 generated pages, descriptive titles, structured data for the travel agency and its pages, and every legacy address redirected so nothing that was indexed is lost.

03 / WHAT CHANGED
Enquiries that arrive
with the choices made.
The site launched in September 2026, so we are not publishing performance numbers yet; consent-based analytics measure visits and successful enquiries, and results will follow as they accumulate.
What has already changed is the shape of the conversation. Visitors arrive at the enquiry form with the destinations or cruise lines they have chosen, having seen how fees work and what a planned journey looks like. The first call starts from a plan rather than from a blank page.
